First the old Buttekvern which is now a gallery and museum and then an old barn at Byflatvegen.
Inn the distance The Mjøsa Tower, the worlds tallest wooden building, opened recently with apartments and hotel rooms.

A good ride! I rode my bicycle for 43 km today!
From Brumunddal were I live to Hamar in the Hedmark region. Sketched Hamar Cathedral and Hamar Train Station. It was sunny but cold, the sky was clear blue in a mix of cobalt blue and french ultramarine. I rode my bicycle for 43 km. It felt gooooood!!!!!!

When is a sketch done? Sometimes you can add some strokes and colors. I did that indeed with this one of Veldre Church in Norway.

Veldre Church – An adventure palace?
Went on a cycling tour in the neighborhood. Took a brake at Veldre Church where I met pastor Salvar. Painted this loose and free sketch of the church and then carried on cygling in the cold and sunny weather!

Spring will come! Vorið kemur!
Painted while having breakfast in Brumunddal, Norway. There have been some minus degrees Celcius during the past nights. Next week it will be warmer, I hope.

Sketches from my trip to Berlin in March 2019.
1. Monument about the part the Soviet army had in conquering Berlin and bringing the nazi regime to its surrender.
I was raised up in opposition to communism during the cold war and with good reasons. My family were for freedom and justice. We must oppose all radical movements and ideas from left and right, from religions and ideologies who can harm healthy democracy which has taken the world ages to develop.
2. A boat in the Spree river, Berlin.
3. A good starter at Begur restaurant with a spanish style.
4. At St. Thomas Church Berlin.
5. Jazz in Berlin. Our second concert during the 4 days I stayed with my son.
