Most of the handwritten texts are in Icelandic and some in Norwegian but I wrote English texts under the sketches.

Watched a very interesting interview done by a German reprorter with Michael Gorbatsjov (1931- ) one of the most important politicians of last century. Broadcasted on NRK1 Norwegian TV.

He is 88 years old and frail but his mind is still sharp and clear.

In October I put the winter tires under my small BMW i3 Electric car and saw this one at the parking. Glad I do not have to buy tires under this one!

When autumn and winter show up it is good to have an effectiv wood stove in the living room and a good cup of strong coffee. Called a good friend in Iceland.

„The Tomato History has origins traced back to the early Aztecs around 700 A.D: therefore it is believed that the tomato is native to the Americas. It was not until around the 16th century that Europeans were introduced to this fruit when the early explorers set sail to discover new lands.“

So the Romans did not eat tomatoes 2000 years ago and I doubt that Martin Luther had them on his table 500 yers ago.

On Friday Nov. 7th I had the privilege to visit The Eidsvoll House where the Norwegian constitution was written in 1814. It is the second oldest in the world which is still in use. It was my friend Mr. Lars Mengshol who invited me to this remarkable place where we met his friend Mrs. Kari Kirkeby Venger, a former teacher of German and French, who guided us around the building. She has a marvelous knowledge about the building and its history.

For me this was of special interest because I had the privilege to write a new constitution for Iceland in 2011 together with 24 other members of the Constitutional Council, elected for the task by the public of Iceland. http://www.stjornlagarad.is/english/
