Fresh Watercolor Sketches from Eyjafjördur North Iceland

The mountain top of Kötlufell peaks through the cold winter clouds that cut the mountain in two. The sea is deep bluish/green. The ferry Sævar heads for Hrisey, Brushwood Island, North Iceland.
The house next door on Hrisey – Brushwood Island, North Iceland

A view from Hrisey – Brushwood Island, North Iceland. Höfdi – The Cape – is seen with snowy mountains in the background. Grenivik, a small town, rests under the mountain north of the Cape. The sea on a chilly June day (about 5 degrees Celcius) has a beautiful bluish/green color.

First Snow of Winter in Reykjavik 2014

Fyrsti vetrarsnjorinn 2014

First snow of winter 2014 in Reykjavik Iceland. Sketched from my kitchen window. The breakwater is covered with a snowcap but the sea line marks the shift between the white and black rocks and kelp covers the lower ones.

Fyrsti vetrarsnjórinn 2014. Horft yfir Arnarvoginn og yfir í Kópavog. Esjan að baki í allri sinni tign. Grjótgaðurinn fremst er með hvíta húfu, svo kemur svart grjót sem sjólínan markar og neðst þaraklætt grjótið sem sést þegar lágsjávað er.

Mætti á málþing í Árnagarði, HÍ, og hlustaði þar á fræðimenn. Glósaði í Moleskine bókina mína og rissaði á blöð sem ég síðan klippti og límdi inn í skissubókina mína. Þetta mybdblogg er endurgert þ.e.a.s. myndir af þremur fyrirlesurum voru teiknaðar upp á nýtt.
