Afmæli og komandi aðventa í Austuríki – Birthday Celebration and a Coming Advent in Austria

English:

Sang the hymn “Silent Night” together with an Icelandic group in the Oberdorf Chapel where the premiere took place 201 years ago in 1818. We sang it in Icelandic and it was a marvellous and moving experience.

The Alps as seen from Salzburg Castle rising from the plain, majestic and mysterious in mist and fog. Salzburg was already in the advent mood with decorations, choir sang, glüwein and gladness.

Did some sketching during my birthday trip and painted with watercolours. The trip was a true pleasure with a good guide in a fine company of interesting people.
